Marin Swim League Report Week 5:
Looks like summer is here in time to carry the MSL meets through the second half of the season. There were great turnouts for all teams as the Marin Swim League teams enjoyed being in the water while their parents cheered them on from the pool deck. Join the excitement and swim with your neighborhood MSL team.
Lucas Valley Lightning vs. Strawberry Seals
FINAL SCORE:
LVST 290
SST 269
It was a hot, windy, hold-on-to-the-tents kind of day at the Tam Pool where kids and parents alike jumped into the pool during the halftime break to try and cool off. But there was no cooling off the meet itself as the Lucas Valley Lightning pulled out a win over the Strawberry Seals on the strength of their freestyle relay teams. Going into the final relays Strawberry were only 8 points behind as the lead switched back and forth throughout the meet.

Tidalwaves vs. Marinwood Waterdevils
FINAL SCORE:
Tidalwaves 304
Marinwood Waterdevils 248
The heat couldn’t keep these kids down today at the Redwood High School pool. Ironically, some of our best swims (for both teams) were in the IM events at 2:00 in the afternoon when the sun was already blisteringly hot. Add to that a little drama created by crazy winds earlier in the day and it was a meet full of excitement. One pool record and two team records all broken in 90+ degrees weather. Great meet overall.
Thank you, Marinwood, for being gracious guests at Redwood.
