MSL Report Week 4
Energy was abounding all morning at the Terra Linda pool as the ORCAS fought hard to hold the lead by a narrow margin through the completion of the butterfly stroke. It was the strength of the Tidalwaves in the 100 yard IM that gave them a 3 point lead at the end of that event. All swimmers rallied around the pool to cheer on their respective teams for the final relays, as everyone eagerly awaited the outcome.
The Lucas Valley Lightenings Vs Rollinghills Stingrays meet was close all day with the final decesion comming down to the last Free relays; Lucas Valley won 3 of the 5 to sew up the victory. The 2 teams both gave it their all with the scoring lead going back and forth all day.
At the beautiful new Tam High Pool facility, the Strawberry Seals lead over the Novato Riptide for their second meet at the beautiful new Tam High Pool facility. Scott Valley had their first “home” meet at the Drake High School Pool against the Sleepy Hollow Sea Lions. Scott Valley and Sleepy Hollow turned in some impressive times. The meet was close until Sleepy Hollow pulled away in Butterfly and IM winning the meet 326-234.

The brightness of the sun could not outshine the smiles on the swimmers’ faces today at this very close and exciting competition.

Griffin Burke of Tidalwaves 11-12B broke his own 50Y backstroke record of 30.69 (set earlier this season) with a time of 30.09

What a GREAT meet! The weather and swimming came to a boil with the meet outcome hinging on the final free relays- Lucas Valley won 3 of the 5 to sew up the victory. The 2 teams both gave it their all with the scoring lead going back and forth all day. The sunshine was a welcome site and both sides fought valiantly.

Halle Morris of LVST continued her record breaking streak with a new Lucas Valley pool record of 33.05 taking down her previous mark of 33.87 set on May 15 2010.

The Strawberry Seals hosted the Novato Riptide for their second meet at the beautiful new Tam High Pool facility. It was the Seals’ first meet to start at the leisurely time of 10:45am and everyone enjoyed the relaxed pace, fast times, spirited competition and the luxury of getting home by 3pm. Thanks to the Riptide for being, as always, great guests and a fun team.

Scott Valley’s swimming pool is in the middle of a construction project. This weekend they had their first “home” meet at the Drake High School Pool against the Sleepy Hollow Sea Lions. Scott Valley and Sleepy Hollow turned in some impressive times. The meet was close until Sleepy Hollow pulled away in Butterfly and IM winning the meet 326-234.

Sleepy Hollow 8-Under Medley Relay team won the event in a very impressive 1:09.83
Scott Valley’s 11-12 Medley Relay Team of Brandon West, Ariel Cacic, Sasha Petrova and Peter Lewczyk set a new team record 2:01.04. They have set a new team mark in this event 4 meets in a row.
Scott Valley’s 11-12 Freestyle Relay Team of Brandon West, Natalie Galuska, Sasha Petrova and Peter Lewczyk broke the team record swimming to a new best of 1:48.08
Scott Valley 8-U Ethan Lewczyk set a new team record in the 25 Butterfly swimming it in a 16.46
Scott Valley 11-12 Sasha Petrova broke a 22 year old team record in the 50 Freestyle swimming it in a 26.21
Scott Valley’s 15-18 Erin Schlueter broke her own team record in the 50 Backstroke at 28.64
